Orchard View Landscaping

Most landscaping outfits will install whatever you ask for. Orchard View starts by telling you what will actually survive an NCW summer — and that honesty is why their yards still look good three years later.

They lean on drought-tolerant natives, smart drip irrigation, and basalt hardscaping that reads as local rather than imported. Their crews also handle spring startup and fall blowouts, which keeps sprinkler systems from freezing and cracking.

Design consultations are paid but credited toward the install. Expect a wait during spring rush.

The consultation is where their value shows. Instead of taking an order for lawn and hydrangeas, they walk the property, note where the afternoon sun hammers the west side, ask how much water you are willing to pay for in August, and then design to those constraints. The plans that come back use native and adapted plants — serviceberry, rabbitbrush, ornamental grasses, lavender — arranged so the yard reads as intentional rather than merely drought-tolerant. Hardscaping leans on local basalt and decomposed granite, materials that look correct in this landscape and do not fade into an out-of-place suburban palette.
